woods_ copenhagen was founded upon a personal journey within the skincare industry, characterized by confusion and frustration due to lack of transparency and efficacy, driving us to innovate. Over time, as we built relationships with our customers and understood their broader self-care needs, we realized that hair is another essential part of their daily routine.
In connection with this, we identified a gap in the market for hair care that is rich in organic and natural ingredients and free from sulfates and silicone. Our approach is to treat your hair as well as you treat your skin, and expanding into hair care is, therefore, a natural extension of our mission, allowing us to enrich our customers’ routines with holistic solutions from head to toe.

In today’s beauty routines, people are more conscious than ever about the health of their hair – from the scalp to the brow and lashes. This growing awareness, I think, is partly due to the realization that many conventional hair products contain harsh ingredients like sulfates, silicones, alcohol, and microplastics, which can damage hair and disrupt the scalp’s natural balance and lead to both hair loss, atopic concerns, and degrading the overall quality of the hair. At woods_, we recognize the importance of avoiding these harmful ingredients, which is why our hair care line is formulated with non-harmful, nourishing components that truly support hair health, ensuring better hair days that are here to stay.

As a result, we’ve developed two hair care lines: Nourishing and Volumizing, each addressing the key concerns we identified.
Our Nourishing Hair Care Kit is especially suitable for thick, dry, and curly hair, as the colection offers deep hydration and repairing properties. This is all thanks to an ingredient composition of nourishing shea butter, strengthening plant-based proteins, and antioxidant-rich wild berries that ensure hair is left soft and refined.
Our Volumizing Hair Care Kit is essential for fine hair and hair that lacks volume as the collection is enriched with moisture-encapsulating amaranth extract, hair-growth stimulating rosemary oil, and protective shea butter, promoting more dense, voluminous, and bouncy locks.

I’d say our process was characterized by curiosity and attention to detail. We started our journey into hair care by analyzing the market and getting in touch with our target group and customers to understand their specific needs regarding hair care. We then conducted extensive research on ingredients and their effects on hair health. As mentioned, from start to finish, our team collaborated with leading Scandinavian hair experts to refine our formulas, and thorough testing was conducted in multiple phases to ensure that the products deliver on the promises.
